Hello, new friend!

I’m Marcus from Malaysia.

This blog is where I share my journey to living a slow but intentional living, with my passion in minimalism, self-development and financial independence.

How Did My Journey Begin

When I was working in Singapore, I had some free time thinking: “What kind of life do I want to live when I’m retired?”

Worrying about not having enough money for my retirement, I started learning all about personal finance and stock investing, and sharing all the knowledge I learned in this blog.

After a few years, my mindset evolved and started to value more of my time, health, and life purpose.

Why “Slow and Steady”

To be honest, I am still figuring out what is my main life purpose.

But I am certain that my life becomes better when I slow down in the fast-paced world we live in.

Slow and Steady soon becomes my favorite phrase.

Here are some of the “slow” goals I’m working on:

• Losing weight: I give myself at least 1 year to workout from 94kg to 75kg. (Now I’m 89kg)
• Building wealth: I aim to achieve my FI number (RM2 millions) by age 50.
• Writing Blog: I use my blog to journal my life experience and learnings.
• Parenting: I devote my time to my daughter with creative learning activities that are fun.

These goals are enough for now.

In the future, I would like to add more goals such as building muscle, learning Japanese and building my one-person online business.

For now, I’ll keep my life simple so I don’t get overwhelmed (again).
